I think it should be fairly safe to use hot water. If you're worried, just boil some water and let it cool just a bit so it's the temperature you'd use for tea. |

Swoon!  Definitely see if it can be resized. The entire ring is so gorgeous I'd hate to see those stones removed. Plus, you're unlikely to get modern ring with such fine details.

If it were me I'd choose the setting, because for me the setting makes for as much or more of the *look* than the stone. I think the only solution is really just to keep trolling jewelry stories. Keep trying on rounds and cushions until you decide you'd really prefer one shape or another. Depends on the shape. I couldn't wear a RB that larger than, say, 1.5, and I'd prefer smaller. For an EC or an OMC I can probably go up to a 2. I've only purchased from Derco. I wouldn't say it's a huge bargain, especially if you're already looking at PS vendors, but they were certainly helpful and fairly reliable. |
