Re: Diamond and Ring Questions

I don't see anything better. It's a lovely stone. Are you sure the wearer wants a round?

I would go for platinum if the wearer wants white metal.

Re: Need help with Harry Winston Cushion Micropave!!!

Is this an actual Harry Winston diamond? One picked by them and put in their setting? If so, you just have to see it and see if you like it. If you don't, ask them to call in others. They aren't going to provide you with the information we need to help you, they don't do that. They won't have magnif...

Re: What would you do?

Puppmom, I am sorry you are going through this. It sounds like your DH wants to take the easy way out - pretend everything is okay because he's afraid of rocking the boat. As a wife, I would not tolerate it if my DH puts the needs and wants of his mother over our family. I'm not sure if I'm reading...

Re: Price of a .20 diamond

I bought earrings and they had no IDJ hallmark. I think it's fine. IDJ is on 2 week break. But you can ask about it after if it bugs you.

Re: Is this a good Radiant Cut Diamond ??? PLEASE HELPPPPP

Please tell me you paid with a credit card.

Also, point to their own site. Tell them they needed to spell out any deviation to you in writing BEFOREHAND and that you expect either a full credit toward the EVs2 or a full refund ASAP or you will have to post negative online reviews.

Shady.

YIKES. Seriously. Um. My thoughts, in no particular order. I know you realize this, and I don't know how you can explain it to him but: You and DH MUST MUST MUST be a united front to your MIL, especially on this issue. You cannot fracture like like and show division. Because it will make it a YOU ve...

Looks fabulous, Gypsy! Great decision. Yeah, I'm happy with the decision. It's so easy to get pulled into different directions on here. Plus, I don't like to pay retail for... well, anything. So since this was going to be a full priced purchase I was hung up on it being "right" and then I...

I like the stone.

And BOOOO on the store being difficult.

I thought you said they have radiants all over the place?

Do you have any paperwork about the deposit? A receipt? Something with terms.

Re: Opinions on this 2.85 round please!

You pay for the great service GOG provides. I can't say if that is worth it for you. But if I were buying such a large stone, I would personally PREFER to have GOG vet and help me rather than go off on my own. And it would be worth 1000 bucks (relatively since your stone is so expensive) to me.

Re: Advice needed on a Diamond: 1.04ct J/VS2 Emerald-cut

What vendor is taking those horrendous shots. The diamond is on it's side. At an angle. And on a blue background. Um. That's just a crappy thing all around. Very misleading and the vendor SHOULD know better. Tell them to put the dratted thing in a four prong diamond holder. On a white background and...

Re: Any help greatly appreciated, looking for round brillian

Stuller's quality in terms of durability is good. Finish and prongs depend on the bench. They are just basic settings. I would go for a nice J OR if you want a lower color like that, switch to an OEC. They look much better in lower colors than MRB. Something like this (but without the mouse bites on...

Re: Met with Local Dealer - Is this a good stone?

Agree with FP. It's a REALLY nice stone in terms of performance. If everything else meets your requirements AND you are positive the wearer wants a round stone, then you are good to go.

Re: Saatva Mattress

Sorry, I meant to respond to this before AZ. They feel too solid and firm to me. I like sinking a bit into a mattress and some bounce. I actually DISLIKE the motion isolation. There are less firm ones and more firm ones. But they all just feel "wrong" to me. I hate anything that sleeps hot...

Rocky Talky is the best forum. But no worries. I can help you here. I am excited that your 5 stone is getting there tomorrow. I can't wait and hope you love it! Your talking about a $1,500-$2000 setting for a CZ. I would NOT do that. You won't be able to re-use it for your eventual heart diamond. A ...

Re: Best custom setting for 2.52 ct (j si2) heart shape ring

I think on a 2 plus carat heart you are looking at more than 5k for a setting similar in style to the original Tiffany you posted. I suspect it will be in the 6-8 range. And additional if you add pink melee. I actually managed a decent picture of my ring the other day (I'm a horrid jewelry photograp...

Can I throw a CS ring in the eye candy mix? Yesterday I collected my purple garnet ring by Alistair Kelsey. The stone is from Jeff White. I swear, it's not personal. They aren't avoiding you. Just have your husband watch the kids for a couple hours on a Saturday and call. Most of the vendors are open weekends, I think.
