No concern with the feather.

So other than the spread, you really like the stone?

Tell me about the stone.

And where did he get it from?

Do you have a picture?

Re: Help Picking Cushion Cut!

I would probably caution you against setting your stone with that prong orientation. I would not want to leave all four corners exposed like that. Seems very risky to me. Me too. Muleskinner, I found some stones for you at JA. Is there a reason you need to buy now? JA's stock is depleted, but in a ...

A lot of 1.5 carat asschers face up at 6.2-6.3.

That's about where it is for me, why?

Re: SHOW ME HOLIDAY DECORATIONS!

Missy it does look beautiful with just the lights. Your cats are like mine, the minute the tree goes up they love to lounge under it. Kitties make the best presents. I got new stockings this year. They don't look that great hanging on the pass through, but maybe in the next couple years we'll get a ...

Re: Oppinions on Cushions for a Newbie!

Nope. You've got it backward.

Unless you are talking about a Blue Nile Signature Cushion-- one of their hearts and arrows cushions, then you shouldn't be shopping at Blue Nile.

You can't buy a cushion from the lab report.

Re: OEC Help! Opinions on 1.75ct OEC Hand Filigree platinum

It really is a stunning stone. Take your lady with you to see the stone and determine if the color is right for her. I STRONGLY suggest this. Her's is the only opinion that matters on color. That's the plan, if she doesn't mind the color I believe I'll move forward with it. Just trying to set up a ...

Re: Conflicted about DK re-do

Talk to DK about it. Tell him your concerns and express to him that you expected to be informed before it went for casting so you could approve it, and that he did not get your approval. Also mention your concern about the channels and the scratch. That said, if he agrees to redo (he may not, he may...

Re: When you see a person who is sporting a lot..

As for wealth, you can't judge anything anymore. I have known women with beautiful jewelry, homes, cars and clothes who are so far in debt they won't ever recover. I've also known people with modest homes, jewelry, cars and clothing that will never worry a day in their life due to their financial s...

Re: Best Purchase of 2014

If we're talking best jewelry purchase of the year, it would have to be this ring... BUT If we're talking overall.... it would have to be Eddie.. best acquisition in a very long time... The ring is lovely. But Eddie is a show stopper. That face! He's so adorable. I'd like to see the Kitty Condo too.

Re: When you see a person who is sporting a lot..

It depends. Being on PS of course, has raised the bar on what it means to wear "a lot of jewelry." But I do think that a large number very showy pieces coupled with a high tcw can give that impression, unless it is appropriate for the event/function. I don't think someone with a single 4 c...

What do you mean by the grade setting inclusions? The diamond is a VS2 and I haven't followed up with the seller yet. Still in the preliminary phases making sure I'm not getting a bad deal  A) Not all VS2's are eyeclean, even if they are GIA graded. B) This is an EGL graded diamond so their g...

Re: ASET images for stud earrings

The WF pair are:

Higher color.
Slightly larger.
And a better match for each other.
And the JA ones, while one stone is a lovely performer, the other is A) not a match and B) a bit of a dud.

Overall... better.

So, yeah. You are good. ;))

Sorry I wasn't clear before.

Re: ASET images for stud earrings

Aww.

Yes, they are on different ears. But in case you want to re-sell them or whatever it's nice to have studs that actually match one another well.

And the second JA stone is a bit of a dud, honestly.

Does the wearer specifically want princess studs?
