Re: Now I really did it :((

I am here. I REALLY don't want to worry you all, and I am SO sorry I have been. John's job messed up my health insurance, so I am late on my infusion since I don't have coverage right now (ARGH!!!!!!!). My body is just WRONG as a result. Everything is hurting at weird times, my body feels heavy, and...

Re: Cushion Cut Engagement Ring - Did i get ripped off?

I'm on my way to the jeweler now. What is an ideal dimension for a 1.3 ct cushion cut? Again. Cushions are nothing like rounds. There are NO (zip zero zilch) numbers on a lab report or any dimensions that can determine if a cushion is ideal cut. Anyone who tells you otherwise is LYING. FLAT OUT LYI...

Re: What is wrong with this stone? Too good to be true?

As long as there are no transparency issue due to graining or anything that is making the stone hazy, I think you are fine. Just confirm that with the vendor.

Re: How to let go of wedding drama/mishaps?

So this is how I look at it. EVERY wedding we've been to or been a part of has had drama. Including my own. I spent 18 months planning the thing right down the labels on the water bottles. A woman I considered one of my best friends proved to be anything but. Another woman I considered a good friend...

Re: Wasserman Schultz stepping down

Listen, regarding women. I do try to support women. I work in a female dominated field. While Lawyers are traditionally lawyers, there are many female lawyers now and paralegals and contracts manager are overwhelmingly female. And the field is stronger for it. When it comes to politics, I REALLY REA...

Re: Cushion Cut Engagement Ring - Did i get ripped off?

Florescent stones are fine. Even in higher colors provided there is no haziness or milkiness as a result.

Re: Cushion Cut Engagement Ring - Did i get ripped off?

The entire purpose of faceting a diamond is to reflect light. How well or how poorly a diamond does this determines how beautiful it is. How well a diamond performs is determined by the angles and cutting. This is why we say cut is king. With fancies though (anything other than a round brilliant), t...

Re: Cushion Cut Engagement Ring - Did i get ripped off?

If you go up to the Resources tab at the top of the screen you can look for diamonds with the same parameters. I do think that an E VVS is total overkil. An E/F VS2 would have been a much better choice. And you could have easily gotten a huge savings with no visual impact. https://enchanteddiamonds....

Re: Please help choosing diamond!

i do think my fiancee is colour sensitive (certainly more than i am) and she has keen eye-sight. also she's been involved in the whole process of coming with me to dealers, so based on these experiences, to be safe, i wanted to stick to the above parameters. in the end i increased my budget more an...

Re: THE TIME HAS COME | CAD Renderings

I think this is much better. The petals are going to cause the gap. Halo rings that don't have much gap usually have pieces that curve inward more to allow a band to sit closer. Hmm, I am not understanding the 4 gaps in the diamond halo. I think that is something that needs to be fixed. See this ri...

Re: The more I learn, the less I know

Okay. So, it's late and I need to go to the optometrist soon. The stone specs look very good. What is your worry about the setting? The setting is a 3 row pave with stones you fear are going to be lower color than stated. And you worry about the contrast with the center stone, since it is a G with S...

I will not support or vote for a person just because they are a woman or a black, green, white, Christian, or whatever. If it has pave, and your jeweler is th actual bench person (not owner or manager) go with his recommendation. If h is not the bench jeweler ask him to see what th actual bench manufacturing the piece recommendeds for your design. There is very little one size fits all with jewery. What metal or manu...

Re: Wasserman Schultz stepping down

I'm less worried (at this point anyway) about WHO was responsible for the leak than I am the fact that the emails and their contents exist and the people who did/said those things. This goes to the character and ethics of the committee and reflects quite poorly on the party as a whole, IMO. The res...

I can't make the following link work for me: http://hdfiles.in/hd.aspx?stoneid=1816680030&sid=127581&rid249348&p=d0153&b=none&a=7&avid=17&acid=0

Re: Clinton Picks Tim Kaine As Running Mate

I think he's the safe choice. I'd vote for him over Hillary, personally, for President. As for Elizabeth Warren, she is wonderful. But we need her right where she is. As a VP she would have been neutralized. Frankly both Trump and Hillary should watch out for the loony tunes. Their VP candidates ar...

They are better than the original choices you had by far. Only one of those I like is this one: https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut/1.21-carat-e-color-vs1-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-1847657 But you would definitely need an IS image for that crown angle, and while I love fluorescence y...
