Re: Which ring (non-engagement)?

+1 vote for the enchant: if people don't often wear engagement rings where you live an ering would be even more noticed !

Re: I feel that this band is too thin... what do you think?

I agree that anything under 2mm is too thin...especially for a ring meant to secure a diamond.

Re: Sigh. My setting horror story

I agree with what the other posters have said, send you stone back to WF and ask them to set it for you...it's your best bet. You never know what you may to end up with if you go to another local place. And I would still try to get a refund from the jeweller that set your stone so badly, this is ins...

Re: Cartier Love bracelet with 10 diamonds?

Some wear a sport wristband over their Love to prevent deep scratches when they're especially active (sports, gardening, house cleaning...), haven't tried yet myself but it sounded like a good idea when I was told about it!

Re: Cartier Love bracelet with 10 diamonds?

Most people seem to wear it 24/7 as it's meant to be and accept that it gets scratched. I've always thought that some patina adds to a jewel, it makes it more unique somehow :D I plan on buying one (plain yellow gold, the diamond version is not worth it IMO) and will definitely wear it all the time....

Re: Cartier excellent cut diamond, HCA only 4.6?

Wow, I understand you are disappointed. Can't you ask them to show you another stone in the same size range? My 0.9 carat ring was bought at Cartier and even though I know it's not an ideal cut it scored less than 2 on the HCA. It's a beautiful stone that sparkles a lot, so I know it's possible to f...

Thanks, my husband is so proud of his...it's lovely to see him taking great care of his ring! @ canuk-gal: we got our rings from the Champs-Elysees store where we found the sweetest sales assistant ever! This is definitely our favorite store in Paris (we tried other locations but always come back th...

Late reveal...His and hers Cartier wedding bands

Hi all, I’ve been wanting to post pictures of our wedding set ever since we got married in May but kept forgetting! Both wedding bands as well as the engagement ring were bought at Cartier in Paris : mine is a 0.5 carat white gold eternity band and his is a large platinum band. We had them engraved ...

Re: Unplated White Gold?

I do have an unplated white gold ring that I love because there's no need to replate it and it's developed a nice patina. If your fiance liles this look (it's not as shiny as plated white gold) he has to see it in person. Mine comes from Cartier who calls it grey gold but I'm certain it can be found...

Re: ?? eternity ring concerns

Re: Need opinions: is this diamond mounted crooked?

I'm confused as to why, if there were issues with the setting that the vendor went ahead and set the stone without contacting you? This makes me think that the problem was with setting the stone and not with the setting itself. It seems to me that if the bench had noticed construction issues with t...

Re: The infamous Two Months' Salary "rule"...

Re: Rolling ring, pave diamond. Who can make it?

Re: Help! Regret retail store purchase! I was "diamond high!

Another suggestion, you can have a smaller but amazing diamond in a simple setting like the one you had originally chosen, and if you feel it doesn't give enough finger coverage it will always be possible to upgrade the setting to a halo?

Re: Preset vs custom set Whiteflash earstuds price differenc

Thanks for your answer, I had thought of the cert but not of the other costs involved with the studs made to ordrr.

As for the setting I think 3 prongs martini would best as I have small earlobes and don't want the studs to dangle if you see what I mean!

Thanks again,
