Re: Q about OECs. Why do most PSers prefer...

Cflutist, maybe somewhere in the middle? N is a little too tinted for me, but D/E is too white for an oec. I think H would be perfect. I've seen colorless oecs and they look almost fake, like they lack depth or something. However, if it's an RB, I'd pick a D/E no question asked.

Re: Q about OECs. Why do most PSers prefer...

Mine fell into my lap. It was a complete surprise to me since I didn't expect it to be so perfect. The faceting is exactly what I wanted, but I wasn't looking for one this big!! I bid on an ebay auction thinking I could always return it, and when it arrived, I fell in love. Haven't found an oec I li...

Are you really paying attention to him though? Or are you just staring at his dreamy eyes? What if he's cute, but really stupid?

6 minutes is a long time to listen to someone talk. I start spacing out after maybe 2-3? I hate stories that drag on and on. Get to the point, then fill me in on how it happened. :cheeky:

Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Trekkie, we're looking at a jogger stroller, but will not be getting it until a few months after the baby is born. We don't want to waste the money until things settle down and we get into a routine. He'll spend most of his time in the infant car seat the first few months, or we'll just carry/wear h...

Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Wow, you guys are on top of things! We have tons of bins with hand me downs, but haven't gone through any of it yet. The crib is still on the floor in pieces, we just picked up the mattress last weekend, and I don't have anything washed. We haven't even gotten a stroller yet. 4.5 weeks left! My frie...

Re: Do Maternity Clothes Need A New Look?

My work dresses pretty much looked like the attached, but all short sleeved since I run hot. Usually just above the knees and cinched at the sides so the belly doesn't look all stretched out. My weekend attire consisted of cinched tanks and long skirts. No daisy dukes for me! My clothes are fitted, ...

Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Oh the stretchmarks are starting to look BAD on the bottom. Like the L.A. traffic report during rush hour on a rainy day... red and black all over, and they are painful. Hopefully it stays there, but considering they popped up pretty much overnight, I expect them to get a lot worse in the next month...

Hi Everyone! I haven't been posting much but I'm almost there! 34.5 weeks today, measuring at 37.5+, yet I've only gained about 17-18lbs. He is diagonal with his butt/legs in my right ribs, and head towards my left hip. Getting a scan on the 19th to see if I'll need a csection. My husband and his si...

Re: unpopular jewelry opinions

How do I say this in the positive... I love jewelry. To buy, design, own, etc. But I prefer the feel on my body of being jewelry-free. In other words I don't like the feel of the stuff on my skin! Haha, yes exactly. I love jewelry too and personally the bigger the diamond the better for me (in a ri...

Re: unpopular jewelry opinions

One of the prettiest diamonds I've seen was a peachish champagne light brown pear at the Smithsonian in D.C. I liked it more than the Hope diamond, which looked extremely grey to me. I hope more people continue to bash brown diamonds so I can buy one for cheap!

Re: Could I get help with a 3 ct OEC ?

I personally prefer laser inscriptions. Some buyers are able to match up inclusions to the plots, but a lot can't and they rely on it. I think it's worth the $35. And yes, you can be looking at $10,000+, depending on the grade. Get it done, and take some pictures of it loose before you send it in to...

Re: Could I get help with a 3 ct OEC ?

Unset it and send to GIA. Even if it grades as M-N, VS, it's still worth way more than just a couple of thousand dollars. I see a small table and clean looking girdle. Cut looks decent. Color is probably much lower than I, but I think there is a lot of potential. At 3ct, you'll pocket a decent amoun...

Re: The PS 2015 Forecast!!!

I got my push present bangle! Since the baby is coming in 2015, this technically falls into the 2015 forecast, right? Some quick iphone shots for now. The old cushion is either 1.81ct or 1.83ct. I had it written down as both in different places and forgot to ask Grace to confirm when I sent it in to...

I voted for More than Rings. Because people are getting bored of just rings! I am waiting for a YG 1.81ct old cushion solitaire bangle from Grace, so my opinion is obviously biased. :cheeky:

Re: Just in time for XYZmas, Breaking Bad Action Figures

I voted no, but IMO they shouldn't sell other stuff that harms impressionable young minds, such as Barbie dolls. Maybe kids are not influenced by 'cool stuff' they are exposed to. But, what the hell do I know. :nono: Hey, I was responding to this, I'm not trying to be an a$$. IMO, tv shows that dum...

Re: Just in time for XYZmas, Breaking Bad Action Figures

I doubt most kids look to action figures and toys as role models. I played with Voltron, Transformers, GI Joes, Barbies, AND My Little Ponies as a kid, and never did I want to be any of them. I never wanted to look like any of them. They were just toys, and sometimes they fought against good, someti...

Re: Does anyone have a roomba (or other robot vacuum)?

My friend had a mid-range one that she constantly raved about and insisted I get one. I asked her to bring it over one day before dinner, and the roomba ended up upside down and unable to right itself in the kitchen (on floormat over hardwood), the bathroom (another floormat, but different material,...

Re: What do you think? Should I or not buy this 'ol cushion?

I recognize that seller's pictures. They charge a restocking fee, right? If I'm not mistaken, they usually inflate their grading. I'm personally not a fan of the facet pattern.

Re: The Sudden Love For Vintage Diamonds

Perhaps this isn't a linear digression of cut as some make it out to be. People are now exposed to different cuts of the past and they're branching out. H&A has been around for a long time now, and is so common and part of the norm that I expect buyers to be informed about it. Perhaps that's why...

Re: The Sudden Love For Vintage Diamonds

Some people seem to think that all old cuts are crap, and while a lot of them are, some of them aren't. There are well cut old diamonds with amazing light return, and I happen to own one. (okay, fine, I own quite a few!) The pretty ones are really, really pretty! And like the broad spectrum of "...

Re: My Amazing Holy Grail - 9.9mm OEC!

Thanks, everyone!! AstonMartin, the diamond doesn't have a hint of fluorescence. I'm actually not positive it's an L. It will be sent to GIA when I eventually reset it in a forever setting, but I'm not taking it out just for a grading right now. I compared it from the side to a loose 4ct GIA K MRB i...

Re: who owns this GORGEOUS set?

Thank you!!! That's not my 9.9mm though. That one is a 8.1mm oec, which I have since sold to Athenaworth, who reset it in a YG Mark Broumand split shank setting! I still have that rb/bag band, but it doesn't match well with my new solitaire since the solitaire's shank is a bit wider. Sorry for the c...

Re: Big Lies In Front of the Kids

Did the rooms smell like cat urine or human urine? Cat urine is pretty distinct. I'd be afraid they were abusing the children and they might have been the ones who peed on the floor.

Re: Uncerted OEC Thoughts? - See VIDEO!

Lol... If I saw pictures this clear in any of the ebay diamonds I took a risk in, I would have jumped on it! The off facet is probably reflecting her camera or phone since the diamond is at almost the exact same angle in both pics. I would ask for some outdoor pictures in natural, shaded lighting. T...
