Re: Is it okay to recline your airline seat?

Could you imagine transatlantic (or similar travel) without reclining seats? I get your point, but imagine a transatlantic flight with the seat in front of you reclined. :knockout: That's the problem with this thing. It goes both ways. If it's a transatlantic flight, I'd be reclined too. We fly Air...

Re: Is it okay to recline your airline seat?

Many airlines have seats that glide forward as you recline back. Meaning you lose your own knee space as you recline (unless the person in front of you do the same), and you don't collapse on the person behind you. I much prefer those seats. Also, when I get up, I always push off on my own seatback ...

Re: Let's start a pets wearing jewelry thread.

I tried to take one but my cats keep trying to eat the necklace. Here's one from a few weeks ago of Grumpy asking politely if he can have a gem.

I had my second trimester ultrasound today at the perinatal center and man are they rough! (or maybe i'm just a baby, but it felt like she was digging pretty hard) Baby looks fine, numbers are all good. Heart/head/spine are all fine, measuring about 10oz, next OB appt is friday. Re: Private jewellery sale, how do you ensure safety?

I've met several people at banks. If I'm the seller, I pick my bank so I can deposit the cash right away. If I'm the buyer, we usually go to their bank so they can deposit the cash right away. I've purchased one ring at the police station. The staff/officers are usually very nice and will leave you ...

Re: Oye! I give up. Now we need protection from sunscreen.

I live in S. Ca. and I wear a physical sunblock on my face, neck, and chest every single day, or else I'd be spotted and wrinkled like a cheetah/sharpei hybrid. I stay far away from chemical ones that run into my eyes and leave a film all over my eyeballs. They've been telling people to stay away fr...

Re: Jewelry purchase that you love and have no desire to upg

1) My 3.768ct oec. Absolutely zero regret. In fact, if an identical twin stone pops up at the same price and I was given the opportunity it, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. 2) 5.5ctw+ carre/oec diamond platinum Hamilton watch. I don't wear it much, but I love it and have no desire to upgrade. That watch ...

Re: What do you get compliments on the most?

My ability to sniff out bullshitters/fakers/users very quickly. Friends will tell me months/years later that they should have listened to me and stayed from certain people because everything I said was correct.

Re: When you were pregnant what kind of food..

Nothing, I'm still kind of hating food, but it's starting to get a little better at 16 weeks. I didn't vomit at all but everything sounds and tastes so disgusting the thought of a lot of food would make me gag. It makes me sad because I normally love food. Mealtimes make me wanna cry because it's so...

Chinese women are mean!... It's true! Growing up, the scariest moms were always Chinese. I have no idea where the submissive stereotype came from because they always dominated their households! My (white) husband fears that I will traumatize our unborn son if I have my way 100% of the time. H...

Re: Re:

I am by habit one of those people who ask questions and then typically apologize later. It takes a lot to offend me- that and the fact that I often just let my mouth run away with me means that yes I have asked this questions often and all the time if I thought someone was pregnant. I'm a fairly op...

Re: Americans, how do you feel about America?

Often the people doing the actual work are often just as frustrated with the system as they are trying to help. I have a question how many levels are above you to the very top? Re: Americans, how do you feel about America?

What I am not fine with is the fact that we make an average of 19-25% less than similar positions in the private sector. Some of our staff with families qualify for food stamps. Pretty sad when they are operating a $200K piece of machinery and are responsible for the safety of the traveling public....

Please, NO MORE committees. Those things are awful and only get in the way of real work. We don't need a study on whether the road need to be fixed. It's cracked, it needs to be fixed!

Hold your head up high, your pregnancy is nobody's business (a thoroughly American concept once upon a time along with live and let live). Uh, it's not my pregnancy, it's my face. How do you change someone who does not want to change? If you know the answer to that then spill because no one else has come up with it.
