Re: Question on my thoughts on hearts on fire diamonds

Kenny is right, it's CUT you want to zero in on. And in my opinion, a HOF diamond may or may not live up to a BGD or a GOG ideal cut round. If you want to take some (actually a lot) of the guess work out, stick with one of these companies. I own round ideal cut diamonds from both and it's truly a to...

Re: Matata's Backyard Makeover

"Bob is of a different era with a work ethic that is almost extinct." Matata , that pretty much sums up the problems we are running into. And not just in this field, it's across the board in every business. Sad, and fruustrating. And he's right, the way to be remembered is by doing what's...

Re: Question for cat peeps

Haha Ellen, all the best cats are part dog IMO . Sniffing/smelling is very common as they use their sense of smell for so much and cats have a much more acute sense of smell than humans do. Cats use their sense of smell for survival, to find food, mates, mark their territory and protect thems...

Re: Matata's Backyard Makeover

A Bit of Background about the Landscaper Eighteen years ago, I was a divorcee and bought my first house. It was new construction and the backyard was a patch of grass. Only one person in my town was willing to take on such a small job. Bob knew my budget was limited so he did all of the work himsel...

Re: Question for cat peeps

Thanks all for weighing in on food and cords, I really appreciate it. gypsy , what a shame about rabbit! :/ Thank you missy . :)) I really am beginning to think Henry is part dog. Beside fetching, he follows son all over the house, and sniffs, a lot! Every time I come over, he comes up and sniffs s...

Re: Largest ct size for daily wear?

My diamond studs however, at .60 each, are bigger than I'd like. Wish I would have gone/stayed smaller. I know, who says that??! Oh, I understand. My 1ctw pair is just right and I don't want any bigger (unless an asscher, but I would like the same face up size, even if the weight is more...

Re: Largest ct size for daily wear?

I could happily wear the right 12-14 mm OEC diamond daily. Not a problem at all. And I could go larger if it is an emerald cut diamond. But I do have large hands and long fingers so I think the proportions would be pleasing. At least that's my story and I'm sticking with it. :cheeky: Here is my OEC...

Re: Question for cat peeps

PierreBear , my son came to the same conclusion also, that just because a brand is popular doesn't necessarily mean it's good. And he is paying a lot more now for less than he was. But he feels better about it and the cat likes the food a lot more. In the end before the switch, he was just licking ...

Re: Largest ct size for daily wear?

I wear an ideal cut round, 1.4, and I sometimes feel it's a bit big for me, and my area/circle of friends. But most days it doesn't bother me. But I would not want to go any bigger. My diamond studs however, at .60 each, are bigger than I'd like. Wish I would have gone/stayed smaller. I know, who sa...

Thanks all on the brand recommendations. Sounds like (har) a Samsung is probably the best/safest bet. Thanks also for emphasis on the subwoofer Garnetgirl. Sound bars - I could really use some recommendations please

Hey all. My mom recently moved into an assisted living village. So space is at a premium, and her HUGE, very old TV could not come with. So we bought her a 40 inch flat screen. However, almost all flat screens now have speakers in back/underneath. She can't understand it well (she is hard of hearing...

Re: Buying gifts for men is hard! ideas please

I have a husband who does not receive gifts well either. One of the gifts he got most excited about was a car battery charger. I know, but I knew he would like it. lol Don't think you want to give him that. ;)) His brother is an orthodontist and only takes what a family members insurance will pay to...

Re: Question for cat peeps

Gypsy, good info on food and water bowls, thanks. I will take a pic or two as he progresses. And I wanted to let you know, the cat tunnel and box scratcher came yesterday. Henry LOVED the tunnel. Played with it as soon as his "dad" put it down for about 20 minutes straight. Then hopped up ...
