Re: I could use some advice please, ladies.

Hi Everyone, Thanks again for all the kind words. Things have been really good with us since I last wrote here and last night I asked him what he saw for the future for the first time. We've been together 1.25 years and there had been no talk of it! He said he's really happy and had been thinking ab...

Re: I could use some advice please, ladies.

I don't know how to even approach having a conversation about our future but I feel like I have to do it very soon. I guess it's time to put my big girl panties on, lol. I want it to be like a fact-gathering session and don't want to be seen as pushy.

Re: I could use some advice please, ladies.

Again, thanks everyone for your thoughts. I feel like I'm on this internal rollercoaster of emotions and don't know what to do. Adding to all of this, I initiated talking to him about Christmas, inviting him to come home with me, and nothing has happened. It's like he doesn't want to talk about it. ...

Re: I could use some advice please, ladies.

Everyone, thank you so much for your thoughful and thorough replies! You all have excellent points. I should clarify how I feel The Rules have helped me and why I was attracted to the concept- someone posted about He's Just Not That Into You as being valuable for seeing how men string us along and t...

I could use some advice please, ladies.

Hello Everyone, I've been lurking here for a while and thought I'd seek your views on some things I've noticed about my relationship. I'm 33, he's 31, and we've been together for 13 months and LIWitis has set in. Here's the deal: we have different styles when it comes to communicating and emotion. H...

I see what you guys are saying, but it''s not about the stuff.  Those were just examples.  He won''t come to visit me because she complains.  He wouldn''t come to see me in college because she''d complain.  I''d spend loads of time with them when I lived in their town going to al...

Anyone have serious problems with a parent as an adult?

I know this is rather heavy stuff for a forum like this, but I just got off the phone with my dad and I''m in tears.  I''m now 29, and since my parents'' divorce and my dad''s subsequent remarriage 2 weeks later, I''ve been in constant pain.  My dad chose to marry a very controlling, manip...

Hi Dancing Fire,
What do you think of this watch and seller?  How does the auction look to you?  I''d like to find something used for under 2k.

Rolex enthusiasts, how does this used DJ look?

Hi all,  I''m looking for a rolex, preferably used and thus on ebay.  How do these pictures look to you?  He has excellent feedback and I''m waiting to see if it does indeed have its original mechanism.  Also, if you know of any trustworthy Rolex dealers, please let me know. ...

Hi Lorelei,
Yes, I do have places I could immediately take it to to get it checked out.  The problem is I keep going back and forth between this Santos style and something like a Rolex oyster, lol.

OMG, Vespergirl, you sound soooo much like me!!!  I, too, was engaged to a lawyer when I first moved here at age 25.  After a year of living here I realized my fiance wasn''t the one for me.  He''d come home and, instead of intereacting with me, he''d down 1/2 a bottle of Jack Daniels...

Any Young (20s and 30s) PSers in Washington DC?

I need to expand my circle of friends and was wondering what groups any of the fellow DC PSers belong to in the area.  Also, if some of you are involved in great churches, which ones are they?  Just looking for any suggestions to enrich my life!

You''re exactly right, and that does piss me off some!  I''m ALWAYS being hit on by much older men to the point that I''ve wondered why they find me more attractive than do men my own age!

I think all the responses have allowed me to solidify what I already thought- that he''s too old and the older we became the more the age difference would bother me.  He is actively wanting to have children, too!  Recent dating difficulties have, perhaps, led me to take more interest in hi...

How much of an age difference is too much?

Hi Everyone.  I recently met a fantastic guy at the dog park and can''t stop thinking about him.  He''s extremely smart, kind, witty.  He asked me out recently but I declined on the grounds of our age difference!  We still see each other all the time and it isn''t awkward between...

Again, such caring and loving words from perfect strangers!  Thank you, everyone!  It never dawned on me that match.com could be considered more of a hook-up site than the others, such as the eharmony.  After work, quite often I can''t wait to simply go home, take my dog to the dog pa...

29 and so tired of dating...

Hi all,  This is the first time I''ve posted on this cafe-type setting!  I just needed a place to vent right now at 2 in the morning.  I''m 29, very smart, caring, loving, very pretty, and I haven''t had a real boyfriend in 2.5 years.  Don''t get me wrong, I date quite a bit, but...

Gypsy, thanks so much for those tips.  I hadn''t thought about a bezel possibly darkening the stone.  Lorelei, you''re definitely right about the greater spread not necessarily being an advantage.  I can''t wait to be able to get an appraisal done in the future so I can share its uniq...

Bezel-Set RBs VS. Prong-Set: Which looks larger?

Hi Everyone! For a RB diamond that''s about 2.25 cts, would it look larger in a bezel-set, mille grained design, a la James Myer, or in a traditional 6 or 4 prong with tapered baguettes on either side?  Also, this diamond has some warmth to it (which I happen to love), so would a bezel setting ...

Need advice on setting ruby into a necklace!

Hi Everyone,  I''m a longtime lurker who''s finally registered, so this is my first post.  Over Christmas my grandmother gave me an old ring of hers containing one very nice ruby.  I''d like to reset the ruby into a simple ''diamonds by the yard'' style necklace with only the ruby in ...
