Re: Gum Graft?

I know, right?!

It's just one tooth (and maybe my bottom front teeth, but hopefully not). My gum is receeding for no clear reason. My tooth is healthy and pretty much perfect, but the gum has been steadily losing ground. It could be a side effect of the braces I had a kid. So strange...

Gum Graft?

Has anyone had a gum graft aka gingival graft? I have to see a periodontist soon as my dentist has recommended one for at least 1 tooth, and maybe a few more as well. The interwebs seem to be full of horror stories, so I figured I would turn to my trusty PS friends and see if anyone here has gone th...

Re: The Official TTC for 6 Months or More Thread

I have not done maya abdominal massage but they offer it at my acupuncturist. I don't like needles, but did like acupuncture. Another non invasive option is this. I enjoyed the Restoring Fertility Yoga DVD and think it helped as part of my "Regime" to get pregnant:-) Once I get this hernia...

Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Oh April! I am so glad that Eliza is here, but sorry that you both have had such a rough go of it. I started crying when I read your post as our deliveries had a lot of similarities (baby who ended up being posterior and asynclitic, labor started with rupture of fluids, horrific back labor, "fa...

Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

MP, so glad to hear an update and delighted that O and N are both at home and that N's surgery went well. Very sorry to hear that N has the additional challenge of the floppy airway/labored breathing/feeding challenges. Postpartum on its own is overwhelming and twins in general are a crazy amount of...

Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

No carbs or low carbs for several days before will help a lot and then no carbs at all on the day of the test. my understanding is that if you have food-related sugar in your blood it can massively skew the test.

Congrats MP. Way to go baking those babies for so long, that is 13 1/2 lbs of baby!!! So glad that baby girl's surgery went well and things are looking good so far. I can only imagine how torn you must feel between all three of your children and their very different needs at this time. Please take c...

Re: The Official TTC for 6 Months or More Thread

HH, I am sorry to read this. I had almost exactly the same numbers and ended up pregnant with E (now 17 months) on our second clomid cycle. I was also doing acupuncture (for a year), taking a variety of supplements, gave up gluten and sugar, and was doing fertility yoga, and had an HSG and a polypec...

Re: Cloth Diapers?

We liked the thirsties doublers (but didn't need to use them until about 5 or 6 months) and once he started eating solids we also used a diaper liner that we could throw away with the poop in it (helps to prevent staining and made washing in our NYC laundry room a little easier).

Re: PS Mommy thread with toddlers 12-36 months

Hi Emerald, I am in NYC too:-) I would totally keep her with the nanny as long as your nanny is engaging and they can maybe have some "school time" while the baby is napping and/or she can do some classes. NYC is INSANE with the intense preschool drama. I would avoid that at all costs, but...

Re: PS Mommy thread with toddlers 12-36 months

Hi Ladies, It is fun to catch-up:-) I stopped pumping around 9-10 months too. E pretty much only nurses at night (usually around 1am and 4:30am) and then when he wakes up in the morning. The morning nursing we could easily give up if we went straight to breakfast. The night nursings his is not at al...

Re: PS Mommy thread with toddlers 12-36 months

NEL-OMG, the "really happy or really angry" is so E right now! He is a super happy, chill, independant dude...until he is not, and then he is like some demon child all red faced screaming, legs kicking, elbows flailing, headbutting... E has about a dozen words, and can pretty easily make h...

Monkey-That is a lot to deal with! I am so sorry that you are going through this right now. I hope that baby girl flips head down soon and that you can have a smooth vaginal delivery. Are there any other hospital options for delivery that would definitely let you all be in the same place? I hear you...

Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

MP-I am so sorry that you are going through this! it must be so stressful. I would not get the amnio personally.
