Okay, AC when no one's home. I live in a burb of Phoenix. Without AC running in the summer, your electronics die, your appliances lose their gaskets and motherboards, your fridge fights a losing battle with surrounding air temps. Your houseplants die, your food in the pantry rots, supplements and d...

When audience members at a concert sing along with the band. I did not pay good money to hear you sing. All I can hear is you. Shut up. I want to hear the band. And no, I'm NOT impressed that you know all the words. Big whoop. Stop that. You don't ever want to be near me at either a Celtic Thunder ...

Re: Random acts of kindness

It's been hellish hot here for the last few weeks. So every mailman, UPS delivery guy or any solicitor who shows up at the door gets their choice of ice cold water, soda or ice tea. One kid who was delivering menus in 95 degree weather asked me if he could simply jump into my pool! I told him to go ...

I like the idea of it being edgy..I'm so self conscious of my face and excess weight right now, I don't feel like I can pull off edgy..there's no confidence there currently. If I knew how to *do* my hair so it was edgy, that might help ha! She cut it so it's similar to a couple pictures I pinned of...

If my husband and I are going to take his vacation time and go on a cruise it is not going to be a cruise with a group of people celebrating a wedding. And two weeks? 8 jewelry boxes {and counting}. One thing I've found helpful. In every room I have a designated place where I'll put my jewelry, especially rings, if I have to take any off. It has help cut down on misplacing thing over the years, I'm sure.

Re: Is anyone interested in Film Noir? Or simply movies from

I think I only vaguely remember Another Man's Poison , and I know I could not have named it. I recall another 'mystery' Ms. Davis did playing a pair of twins, one of whom drowns, and the other takes over her life. But I cannot remember the name of that film, either. It is one to watch, though. It's...

Re: Dust Please? Youngest Son and His Bully

I just remembered this, from my final year on employment at the high school. Does your school have in house security officers? Most schools do nowadays and it would be helpful if you could talk to then and alert them to the situation.

Re: Is anyone interested in Film Noir? Or simply movies from

In the late 1930s into the 1940s, Bette Davis was at her zenith as a star. I never cared much for her in really early films where it seemed she wasn't grasping the whole acting thing; and she had sadly become a parody of herself by the 1960s, IMO. Yes, I know there are some cult classics in that er...

I'm loving all the suggestions for old movies. I'll be honest, I didn't know what pre-code meant so I looked it up. I'll add another movie suggestion " The Lady Vanishes ". It was very good although the ending seemed a little improbable to me (you'll see what I mean if you watch it). We a...
