The contemporary is 1.5mm at the top and 2mm at the bottom where the classic is 2.5mm at the top and 2mm at the bottom. I think the thinner contemporary will make the diamond POP more. You could always ask whiteflash for comparison photos.

Thanks for your help, I have asked for some additional photos and hopefully that will make it easier to decide

I voted for the contemporary setting. I love it and was so very close to buying it for my diamond, but ended up buying a similar setting from local jeweller.

I love how its thinner at the top so you get the look of a thin band but it's still strong. I also loved the hexagon shaped donut.
