What is the smallest diamond that you can see H&A's in?

So I've got my ideal scope and my aset and want to buy a small H&A ideal cut stone to play with and use to reference with. Not to mention ooo and ahhh at and enjoy owning something that is "perfect" (D, IF, Ideal). I've got a calibration 1ct CZ but its just not the same. But as its just for fun I want the cheapest one I can get with those properties.

So the question is....how small can I go whilst still being able to see the hearts and arrows patterning?

I seem to be able to get some 0.3ct ideal, D, IF, ideal cut stones for under $1000. But will that be too small at 4mm diameter?

You should able to see a 30-pointer with the ideal scope, no problem. I'd think you could go smaller, too. Really depends on you and what you want to see.

I just want to be able to see all the facets/patterns clearly. I love playing with 1ct calibration CZ that I have, but its not the real thing.

I'm really not sure a .30 would be all that fun, though. You will see the hearts and arrows, but really, they will be little!

To be clear posters are mostly talking about arrows here, n0t hearts, since you cannot see those with set stones.
