I''m in the process of getting a custom ring design and pricing.  When the designer mentions "17 diamonds X 1.7 mm in shank" does that mean 17 diamonds on each side of the head?  If it is the total amount in the e-ring band itself it won''t be even.  I can wait to ask them on Monday, but thought I would ask if anyone here knows.
