Hi!! You guys are awesome. I totally miss this place! Thanks, DS!! I was wondering if I was better off picking out my own 2 diamonds versus selecting a pair they've already selected, just wasn't sure if there was a better value one way or another? Not really a budget, just thought around .4-.5 would look best on my lobes, but I could do a smidge bigger if peer-pressured

I remember you, too, by the way! Yes, that is a loooong thread and was started because I was looking for studs and didn't know what size!
I think the main advantage of ordering individual stones is that they can be upgraded later if you want. The pre-set ones are not. I searched .40-.49 G-H-I color and VS2-SI1 clarity and there just weren't many pairs in that range. The prices jump up at .50 but I think there will be many more choices. |

DS, thank you! Is it worth the jump to .50? We're still looking and perusing the ~.50cts...what would you recommend from those? That's nice to be able to upgrade, good to know.
ETA: I shouldn't be asking you if it's worth it, hehe...any good-lookin' .50ish??? |

Okay, there are plenty of G VS2 stones around $2000 each in the low .50 range. I am not seeing any great ACA matches in H or I color, VS2-SI1. Any 2 of these three are fine together.

You're awesome, DS! Yeah, I think I like your original 2 the best. I would just rather put the money for best spread of carat size and not color/inclusions, stinks there's not an H/I SI1/2 combo somewhere. What do you think of this one? I don't think he had a nice buddy to go with though...http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-2813876.htm
maybe this one? http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-2813871.htm but is that .20ish difference in size really going to make a difference? |

Regarding the first one, yes, the other I color diamonds were .40-.42 and I couldn't handle two different sizes! The closest stone to the second one is this: http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-2728080.htm You could ask them to take a picture of the two stones to make sure you can't see a size difference. It is very slight but I try to match stones that have at least one number of overlap on the diameter. These might be close enough. |

Ok, I agree, I don't want that big of a difference either. Now comes the choosing part...eek!
I'll email Debi in regards to the .456 I and the .431 H stone to see how they look together. But in the meantime, what would you guys pick from these 3 pairings...just for fun Thanks, DS (where's the saint smiley)http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-2813871.htm and http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-2728080.htm OR http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-2813880.htm and http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-2813878.htm OR (depending on debi's eyeballs) http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-2813871.htm and http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-2813876.htm |

I would never get an H and and I in a pair, personally, but some people do.
The H pair looks really good. As I said, I usually get pairs whose diameters overlap, but I might choose that pair if they'd provide me a picture of the two stones together to make sure they look the same size. I would prefer H color over I with AGS stones. I'd recommend getting in touch with Traci or another one of the sales people. Debi is the CEO and doesn't normally do sales. |
