I heard that tungsten carbide is a lot stronger than tungsten itself, so we're looking to use it in our wedding rings. I heard that some vendors use cobalt as a cheap alloy, and that it stains quickly due to oxidation and can't be polished out. We saw a ring we liked. It has a carbon fiber inlay. I can't find any info about what pros and cons are about carbon fiber in jewelry. Outside of jewelry, it seems to be effected by UV rays and might fade. It has a coating over the carbon fiber, but what will it last as long as the tungsten carbide itself?
Thanks!
