Looking for a round stone with excellent cut, at least 0.7ct, "eye clean," color J or better (I think). Budget for total ring in ballpark of 3-3.5K with a platinum pave setting.

Are there any major factors I am overlooking with the stone?
Also is there any significant difference between a blue nile and james allen platinum french pave setting? the price is significantly different.

on the three you posted the first is a touch on the deep side and the third is a good bit deep. I would say number 2 is your best bet.

I'm not a fan of any of the three. If you get this one with the JA Advantage program, it will go for 2600. When I was looking I got the IS for this diamond, I can post it if you want. But it looks really good. And it has a face-up area with a diameter over 6.0mm. It was the best one I found from JA (I had a similar budget and search), but ultimately went with a different vendor.

If you tell the customer service agent on the live chat that you are a pricescope member they will offer to give you the pricing of their JA Advantage program (basically a discount program, except it is not a % and is different for every diamond, so you have to ask).
