Thoughts on Cushion ASET and H&As

About the pull the trigger on a Brian Gavin Hearts & Arrows Cushion. At ~$8,500 it seems like a great value in terms of size and spread. Their rep has confirmed it is eye clean.

Clarity: SI1
Color: H
Measurements: 7.47 x 6.53 x 4.51

Report: AGS - Ideal
Fluorescence: Negligible
Girdle: Thin To Very Thick Faceted

I was somewhat surprised it is graded SI1 as the report is fairly clean and hard to see the clouds and crystals noted.

Listed as SOLD but I have it reserved at the moment.

Would very much appreciate any thoughts on the clouds and if light leakage at side is typical. Thanks!

Looks nice. Just be aware that the way BGD lists their dimensions, the first metric is diagonal. Since the diamond is pretty square, it's approx 6.53 x 6.53 spread wise.

I have reached out the the BGD rep about the clouds and the girdle to try and get some additional information, as well as for a video of the stone.

Should I be concerned about the inclusions (clouds?) on the left side of the hearts image?

Beautiful stone.

I wouldnt worry about those inclusions. If a pair of eyeballs at BG tell you the stone is eye clean & no issues with it, I would go with their recommendation.

Last question before pulling the trigger: is the "Thin to Very Thick" girdle an issue?

I have heard it is best to avoid girdle size spreads of more than 2 or 3 jumps. I reached out to BGD to clarify if they have any insight but any independent opinions would be helpful.

Just sent through my wire. Paired the 1.4ct H&A cushion above with the BGD Legera setting in platinum.
