This is a tough call. This is really splitting hairs here and both are great stones!!! Will that one white spot bother you? The second stone has an awesome ideal scope image too but you are paying a little premium for the Vs1.... I would have whiteflash help you decide. They can see both stones at the same time and will not stear you the wrong way. i emailed them about a cut above stone stone I have on hold and asked if i should pay 10000 more for another stone that they have with a higher color. She said no way and that my stone is better and that I will not see the color difference. Whiteflash is honest..... Both these stone were just released so act fast with whatever you do.... Sometimes people see these posts and snag diamonds

Admittedly I don''t know the protocol, but incredibly fast response...
---------------------- Thank you for contacting us here at www.whiteflash.com. Both of the diamonds you have identified will be eye clean according to our definition: http://www.whiteflash.com/diamonds_info/t/faq.aspx?articleid=403&zoneid=6 If you will feel more comfortable going with a VS1 then we support that decision although we feel that either stone would be an excellent choice. Please let me know how you found Whiteflash and when you will be making your purchase? I would call now but am concerned about disturbing you this late at night. I look forward to hearing back from you and to helping you with this very special purchase. ---------------------- Don''t know, though I don''t suspect this is automated. Must say that in the arena of customer service WF is very responsive as attest to others reported. |

The symmetry is top notch in each diamond - no worries. Go with the one you like best. Also the IS image in #2 is absolutely fine. |

WF would definately not have an automated response that indicates that a stone is eyeclean!! They would have verified that by eye before sending that email. WF is incredibly trustworthy and their service is out of this world.
Looks like great stones, don't forget to post pics when you get it! I honestly wouldn't pay the extra money for the jump in clarity especially since they are both eyeclean, you should be fine with a AGS VS2, I can't even find the inclusion in my VS2 with a loupe!! Why pay that much for something you can't see? With the extra money, you could get her some gorgeous ACA studs to match her new ering.

Thanks to all for the reply. I''m just amazed at how fast the response was, shame on me for belittling WF''s outstanding customer service!
Based on your comments I''m taking away that there''s really no difference between the two Ideal Scopes and both stones are equal. Still curious what the white leakage is in D1. |

That could be ' intentional leakage' which can help provide contrast in the diamond, nothing to worry about and in some cases the diamond can benefit from this. |
