Split shank or not for this stone?

So I know it's personal preference but I am torn between the classic hw inspired halo, and a split shank halo for this stone. I was wondering if someone could give me their opinion and maybe post pics of their split shank halo rings to help me make a decision. I also wonder if anyone knows what the general price difference is (if I get it from erd for example).

Personally I love a split shank if combined with either a stone of 9 mm or bigger OR if the stone and halo together is 9 mm or bigger.

It's 2.67 carats 7mm square (unheated montana sapphire) I'm sure with halo it would be at least 9mm. Split shanks have to be cathedral settings right?

Yes, I can't remember having seen a split shank without the cathedral.

I would definitely ask a quote from ERD as well as from Maytal Hannah.

Also, do you prefer the split to end in one single shank or a double shank...

With the wide split I like when there are separate shanks, but with the small split I like 1.

I'm excited! I have been emailing with mark and am planning to have the setting made with a similar split shank to the attached pic with an octagonal halo.
