Hello all,

I've recently been introduced to this amazing community and am in awe of the constant support provided. I thank you ahead of time.

After searching countless websites and their settings for weeks, I will be heading to downtown Chicago this Saturday to Jeweler's Row in hope of find a setting that compares to Tiffany Novo. Currently, I'm leaning toward dimend SCAASI from what I've read on the Forum(I'm also heading to M Martin, Ethan Lord, and Windy City Diamonds) but we'll see.

Dimend SCAASI's "Zooey" setting looks comparable to Tiffany and for $150 they'll set a diamond purchased elsewhere.

I haven't made up my mind on where to buy the diamond (online or brick and mortar) and that's why I'm asking for your help. If you have time and could send some online recommendations regarding square/rectangle cushion cuts my way, I'd highly appreciate it. As of now, I'm leaning toward James Allen but also need to check out GOG.

My budget for the diamond will be about $5,500 and she's a size 4 so hopefully I won't have to go much bigger than a carat? A good balance of cut and color is ideal.

Thanks again for your help!
Brandon

Do not buy a setting before you buy a stone! For example, GOG carries a great Novo replica made by Vatche. It is always best to have the diamond vendor set the stone in the rare event there could be damage to the stone. Plus, a setting should be made for your exact stone and in her ring size. Don't get ahead of yourself. Choose the diamond first and then see about the setting!

Here is a pretty gorgeous one just a little above your target:

square hearts and arrows are beautiful but you'd have to go under 1 ct to get one of those

Hmm, they may carry more than one Novo replica. There is one here, the first ring on the second row:

and here is the Vatche, which they also carry (if they aren't the same ring)...

Dimend Scaasi is a great place to buy a setting if you can't buy one through your diamond vendor. However, the setting you linked is not a Novo replica. See the two I posted from GOG as those are very close to the Novo.

I appreciate the quick response!

I definitely will not be buying the setting before to stone. I hope to get a better feel for the settings by seeing them in person (one reason I'm hesitant to buy a setting online).

While I appreciate the links, I feel the "Zooey" has bigger diamonds in the pave and is actually the main reason I'm not 100% buying the setting online - I simply cannot find a simple pave with sizable diamonds. I actually think that's why she's so interested in the Novo.

Again, thanks for your help. I'll keep looking and get back to you.

I think the Novo is a pretty delicate ring. Has she seen one with the size diamond that you are looking for? Because if you look at the pictures at the bottom of this page (particularly the third and the fourth), you can see than the shank is actually pretty thin and those diamonds are definitely not large.

Vatche makes very fine quality settings and they make good repros. So maybe you can find a Vatche dealer locally by checking their website.

Did you already choose a ring? Could you share some pictures? I am looking for exactly same thing! I also like Zooey from Dimend Scaasi
but I wonder if its as delicate as it seems online ? or does it look more like solid diamond ring with wider shank? I am really curious about your stone and setting choice! :)
