Ring on insurance replacement Australia

Hi

This is my first post so I hope this is in the right area

I very sadly lost my engagement ring recently. My claim has been approved and I now need to replace.

I am using a company called gemcheck but I believe I can get my insurance company to send a cheque to a jeweller I specify if gemcheck do not deal with them (such as online stores)

I would not think I could use a U.S. Store so I have been trying to find a diamond with an Australian retailer.

I have been looking at one called alldiamonds as they are in Victoria and not far from me.

I am leaning towards a radiant cut I did have a brilliant cut but as I only have $5000 to spend I cannot seem to find a suitable brilliant cut for the price.

I am after a 1ct diamond with the best specifications I can afford which is $5000 as I will have to pay for the setting.

I have come across these on the site and my novice diamond knowledge is being tested could anyone advise if any of these are a good deal?

Is a radiant cut a good option? I like lots of sparkle and fire

there are no actual picture on that website have you asked for pictures or idealscope/aset images? post them if you have

most people on here will here will recommend an international vendor im assuming your budget off 5000 is AUD? so that would be 3800(ish) USD

OR - were you after Australian recommendations only? - the only pricescope vendor I know of in Australia is Gary Holloway http://www.hollowaydiamonds.com.au/ he has two stores in Melbourne - one at brighton and one at cantebury (see his website)

No there are no pictures on the website but I would be able to go and see them in person.

I am not sure if the insurance company would let me use an OS vendor. If I don't go through Gemcheck I have to get them to issue a check made out to my jeweller. I might call and ask tomorrow.

Holloway shave beautiful rings but I think in my budget I wouldn't get much for my $$$$ there is a company called Jogia I think which seems to be recommended on some forums in Australia.
