Rhodiumizing white gold w/Pallidium?

Hi all. I have a question concerning white gold. Most white gold eventually needs to be replated at some point in time, correct? What about rhodiumizing it with palladium? I''ve heard that it doesn''t need to be treated again. Is that correct? Is it worth it to spend more on that in an 18K gold ring vs. a 14K white gold ring that has not been treated in the same way?
