I would like to know if a 1.21 princess cut diamond with Depth of 69.7%, Table of 75 %, Girdle very thin to very thick, Cutlet None, Polish Good, Symmetry Very Good, VSi, Color G, Fluorescence None, is a good diamond to purchase. Thanks

The only thing that would concern me from the specs that you posted would be the girdle of the diamond. Depending on the degree of the "Very Thin" girdle, it could create a duribility issue. Can you post a cetrtificate or more information? If you do decide to purchase, my advice would be to make sure you have a 100% return guarantee and have it thoroughly checked by an independant appraiser.

Before I bought any cut stone I would need to get more information than is provided on a GIA report. Try to have a sarin done to find out the crown height, and the crown/pavillion angles. But, based soley on these numbers, I would not purchase this stone. I don''t like the girdle, and I would look for a stone where the table is smaller than the depth! I''m no expert, those are just my preferences.

pookieman- you will find that a princess stone that shallow will often be a light leaker!

That's a pretty large table. I'm not a die hard numbers gal, but I would look for a stone with a smaller table.

irish- there really is no way to tell from just the #s off of the cert. But if I was looking, I would be interested in these...Note: I would not buy from bluenile. They are overpriced. I found my stone on Bluenile and called Mark T and he got the stone for me at a significant discount!!

. And dare I say the same about whiteflash..although their prices are pretty good too! That first whiteflash stone looks like a lot of potential!

Thanks for your information. I''m really not considering buying the diamond over the internet. I would prefer to buy it through a local jewelry store. They have a diamond district where I live so I have been looking around in that area. Thanks again
