Starting my adventure of finding an engagement ring for my love. I have an idea of what I want but now that Im getting to the nitty gritty I wanted to see what are some points (tips) to look for in both the princess cut stone and setting. Specifically things catered to the princess cut like for example, maybe a certain width/depth ratio or on the setting side maybe a cathedral setting is more 'secure' (totally making this up as an example)

Anyways I certainly appreciate it. Thanks

It is incredibly difficult to tell you what to look for.

Watch videos on Youtube, especially from Good Old Gold.

Search for "True Hearts" princesses on James Allen, and compare and contrast those pictures to the generic princesses.

V tip shaped prongs will give you the most protection of the corners.
