I have been looking at diamond on Engagement Ring Direct and have noticed that they describe some of their diamonds as being premium cut. Does anyone know what this means? Has anyone purchased a diamond from them that was premium cut? Thanks!

I purchased a cushion from ERD so that is the only cut of theirs i am familiar with.
For the cushions, a stone is listed as "premium" if it qualifies with the following:
Ratio: 1.00 - 1.17
Depth: 59 - 69%
Table: 55 - 65%
Polish: EX,VG
Symetry: EX,VG
Certification: GIA

For example, my stone was only listed as "very good" because it was only GOOD polish and GOOD symmetry, but all the other numbers were spot on. The stone is perfect, I love it and I would never in a million years know that its only G/G polish and symm. So in my eyes it is PREMIUM.

I''m not sure if this is answering your question, but I would just encourage you to call them.
They are very, very helpful.
