Please help me authenticate this 1895 Cartier ring!

I want to buy this ring from ebay.... It's 2.28 ct VS1 E. I have attached pictures. It comes with box, GIA certificate and receipt. The seller has 500 positive feedback.

Could it be a fake? Please help me!

I think the only way to be sure is to take it to Cartier. Can you meet the seller at a Cartier store? Of course, the receipt is important and can surely be checked with Cartier.
