Does anyone know or has anybody had experience with cracking a diamond with a thin girdle using platinum? Is there a greater chance in cracking the diamond when you set it in platinum because it is stronger and harder to work with? Or is this not a problem? Also, is there more chance of cracking if you go with 6 prongs vs 4 because you are hitting more?
