I found a beautiful patented radiant cut at a B and M in Chicago with the following specs:

D
VS2
1.01

The cost, however, is 6500. Is this high? I''ve seen stones with similar specs for less online, but I''m not sure if they are the patented radiant cut.

Any advice would be appreciated.

If you see radiants online with prices, they are not Original Radiants.

Original radiant cuts do tend to carry a premium, but you are almost guaranteed a beautiful stone. Generic radiants can be beautiful too (I have one), but it may be more difficult to find a well-cut one. It really depends on your timeframe and budget. If you have the time and want to save a bit of money, look for a well-cut generic. If you want a well-cut stone without looking too hard, buy an Original.
