A big THANK YOU to this community! After coming very close to purchasing a complete E ring from Jared, it just didn't work out, and i searched online and came across this site several months ago.
I researched, learned, and am still learning.
The E ring has arrived today from GOG!!!! I am thrilled and overwhelmed at how the help here has gotten me closer to that HUGE special moment! A special thanks to Gypsy, for recommending Beverley K settings (and avoiding the price tag/quality of Verragio!), and a big thanks to Niel, with stone selection. The rest of you who have helped in the couple threads i made and just the knowledge you share is so awesome and i am very grateful!
I am so pleased with GOG and particularly Lynda whom i communicated with. I cannot say enough nice things and would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone! They went above and beyond.
After further research, i discovered this type of ring setting is Edwardian era vintage like which is a nice bonus, as my gf wanted something unique in RG, combined w/ an AVR. It is said this type of jewelery was popular up until 1911 or even around the Titanic days. Her fav. movie is titanic so i found this lil tid bit interesting. Plus, in a handful of days comes the proposal on our cruise!!!! I KNOW this fits the bill quite nicely thanks again for the assist
Without further adieu, onto some pics, Beverley K and AVR... Please understand they don't do the ring justice, and the ring is alot more dainty than online pics showed, also i lack photo skills. I am so excited and i know my ff will be!:
