Overwhelmed choosing a cushion cut

About 3 months have gone by and I am still undecided on which cushion cut to choose. I had one picked, but when I finally when to get it, it was already taken, so I am back at square one.

I am hoping to get your guys' help once again with a few suggestions and I am making my decision in the next couple weeks. I want to get a cushion cut diamond with a pave setting. My budget is about $5,000.

I am open to buying the diamond and setting from separate vendors, but not quite sure how hard this would be. Please, if you could suggest a few diamonds for me to look at, that would be fantastic!

Thanks again,

Palelei

Budget for the stone is $5,000? Or is that total budget?

What color and carat weight range are you shooting for?

What type of cushion was the first one you picked out? Do you want the same or a different one?
Was it crushed ice?
Was it H&A?
Was it chunky cut?
Was it an 8 main?
etc.

Or you could just give us the old link to it so we can see what you like.

Sorry, $5000 is total for both the diamond and setting. I am shooting for at least 1 ct. and pave.

I don't have a link to the old one, as I erased everything when it was gone. I am not quite familiar with all the cuts that you mentioned, but I know that I am not interested so much in the crushed ice. I am open to all though, as she just wants a ring that appears to be the biggest.

Have you considered a halo setting? Cushions dont really face up all that big. You could get a simple halo from JA for about
$1k and then a nice stone for about $4k.

Here is my first cut at cushions in your budget at JA. In a second I'll let you know what my top 3 are.

I really like the light return on this. Nice, bright, crisp...

Different faceting pattern but almost too dark for me.

Another pretty stone.

There is a simple pave setting for $660 I think...so I'll go up to $4400 for the diamond price and see what they have.
