oval diamonds

Hello everyone,

I am looking at an oval diamond, which is well cut according to the chart which I have seen on this web site as well as the gemappraisers web site, with the exception of the crown height which I am not sure of.

It is 1.8 ct and is H in color. My question is will an H oval face up white or will it show a tint if set in platinum. Would love any feed back on ovals and the color in fancy cut stone.

It all depends on how sensitive your eyes are to color. My thoughts are that you should be pretty safe with an H color oval being set in platinum though.
