I am in the process of getting and engagement ring and was wanting to cap my budget at $7,000 for the center stone. I found this diamond but it has a series of twinning wisps that scare me on the GIA report. The diamond seems like a value when comparing to similiar carat diamonds but i am wondering if it is a value because of the twinning wisps? It does have a VVS2 grade so would that mean the twinning wisps are more translucent than say having twinning wisps on say a VS2 stone? Thank you for your help. This is a stressful process.
Here is a link to the GIA report-

Welcome! First of all, inclusions are a non-issue in a VVS2 stone. You can't see them with a 10x loupe, much less with your eyes. In fact, it is very difficult to see inclusions in a VS1 with a loupe, so I would strongly suggest going down to VS1 to allow you have more options. The measurements on that stone are not good. Most of all, it is too deep which can make a diamond face up smaller in diameter than it should.

When looking at GIA Excellent cut stones, you can use these parameters to help you stay close to ideal cut territory:

table: 54-58

depth: 60-62.3

crown angle: 34-35.0

pavilion angle: 40.6-41.0

About the crown angles: You can extend your search to include crown angles at 35.5 and 36.0 however make sure that its only coupled with pavillion angles at 40.7 and less. Basically a 40.6 on a GIA report. That steep crown is off set by a pavillion on slightly shallower side.

I found another diamond that has a hca of 1.1. it seems resonably priced when compared to everything else. I found some vs2 but this one is a vvs2 so i am guessing the inclusions will not be noticable and will be an eye clean diamond? Thanks for the diamond tips! I have learned more in the past 5 hours about diamonds than I ever thought i would.

Not so good when the table % is > the depth % + a flat crown. As the table gets bigger the stone will fetch less $$$.

This diamond looks more inline with the ideal cut numbers. My main concern is that there is a cloud inclusion and without any pictures it is hard to tell if it is noticeable. Here is the diamond numbers.
