Ok, I have several stones picked out and the folks at Good Old Gold have been fantastic. Choice is coming down to a color vs clarity struggle.

Stone 1: 1.08 D SI1 Square H&A
5.75mm X 5.76 mm X 4.14mm
58.60% table
71.99% depth
13.14% crown depth
43.46% pavillion depth

Stone 2: 1.18 I VVS1 Square H&A
5.75mm X 5.78mm X 4.26mm
61.80% table
74.09% depth
13.57% crown depth
46.02% pavillion depth

Any thoughts would help.

Of those choices ... I''d take the "D". I''m not up on Square H&A stats, but both stones seem mega DEEP to me ... which makes the spread not so, uh, spready. (BIG)

Did you ask them if the "D" was "eye clean"? And at what range would it be "eye clean"?

The size is almost equal regardless of carat size ...

Deco,
From what I have seen on GOG''s website, all the square H&A runs on the deep side, which is another reason why I prefer the Jubilees. Although the Jubes are generally on the deep side as well, they aren''t as deep as the square H&As and if you are patient, it is possible to find one in the mid 60''s.

But back on topic.

Gtchme,
I''ll pick the D SI1 provided it is eye-clean. Less deep, smaller table. Are they about the same price?

No real size difference, so if the D is eye-clean that''s the one I''d pick.
