Is it just me, or does this diamond look off-white in this setting?

This is a 1.5 I VS2, and I am thinking of putting a 1.6 I IF in the same setting, however I don't like how much the yellow tone stands out. What do you think?

Here is the diamond I am thinking of:

Does setting it in platinum affect the way the colour looks?

How about white gold?

I once looked at an I color Hearts On Fire Dream diamond (their princess cut) and I could see the I color in it fron the side view at 3'-4' away when the jeweler held it up in tweezers. That was an unmounted stone. Princess cut, as well as fancies like pear, concentrate tint. If you want a whiter stone, then you must go up in color to a G or perhaps a high H, if not higher up the color grading scale. Unplated white gold will have a slight yellow tinge to it that will blend better with an I or J color.

You should expect to see faint tint from the side of an I.

I see color on an I from the top as well. It seems you are color sensitive so I would suggest you stick with a G.

I can even see color from the top on an H.
