Re: Need to buy diamond ring, earring, bracelet, necklace. H
There are some pretty dangly earrings on the Lang site (I've been stalking them for a while ).
Since you say you doubt what you're buying now will be your daily bling wardrobe, I'd go for more classic, forever pieces, which you could keep for a long time and pass onto your future children.
If I were you and I were looking for a "suite" for a wedding, these are what I'd get:
1) pair of studs, of about 1.2-1.5ct each, F-G-H colour, VS-Si1. I'd go for RB if you want max sparkles or antique/ antique-cut cushions for their sheer "divineness" (is that even a word, lol?!). That should set you back anywhere from $30-40k
2) pendant of 1.5-2ct each, again same range of colour and clarity, put it in a halo and/ or with DBTY necklace. Again, it should be anywhere between $25-40k.
3) a tennis bracelet or cuff like the one you posted, made up of RB diamonds. I wouldn't pay more than $20-30k for this.
Of course the higher the specs, the more you'd have to pay; in which case, you'd have to go smaller in size. You'd also have to decide if you want larger earrings, smaller pendant and/ or smaller bracelet or some other combination. The mix can vary obviously.
I'd budget about $10k for settings, but it could go up significantly depending on what you choose.
Voila, there goes the entire $100k! .
Good luck with deciding. How fun! Come back and post your decisions and then pics. I can't wait to see them!!
I'd check out the "blue" range at BGD; they're slightly less expensive than their signature H&A range - and you could trust Brian with his eye & judgement. JA's prices are also quite reasonable.
As for settings, I'm biased and have had personal experience, so I'd say Leon. Steven Kirsch has also turned out some amazing pieces for some PS'ers lately!
