Hi, Everybody,

I just received the idealscopes. This is my first diamond, I would really appreciate your opinions and helps!!!

#1. 177026.jpg

Specification:
1.18 G VS1
Cut: Excellent
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Fluorescence: None
Depth: 62.1%
Table: 56%
Crown: 35%
Pavilion: 40.8%
Culet: None
Additional comments: "Pinpoints are not shown".
HCA: 1.6
Light return: Excellent
Fire: Excellent
Scintillation: Excellent
Spread: Very good

Gemologist says this one has the best light return and gives it 10.0/10.0 and confirm it is completely eye clean.

#2. 126931.jpg

Specification:
1.06 E VS2
Cut: Excellent
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Fluorescence: None
Depth: 62.1%
Table: 54%
Crown: 34.5%
Pavilion: 40.8%
Culet: None
Additional comments: "None"
HCA: 1.4
Light return: Excellent
Fire: Excellent
Scintillation: Excellent
Spread: Very good

Gemologist gives it 9.5/10.0. This is also eye clean and icy white in color.

#3. 29419.jpg

Specification:
1.08 G VVS2
Cut: Excellent
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Fluorescence: None
Depth: 61.5%
Table: 56%
Crown: 35%
Pavilion: 40.8%
Culet: None
Additional comments: "Additional pinpoints are not shown"
HCA: 1.5
Light return: Excellent
Fire: Excellent
Scintillation: Excellent
Spread: Very good

Gemogolist gives it 9.3/10.0. "This is eye clean as well just a tad lower light performance than the other two."

The gemologist "prefers #1 and it offers the best value too".

Another option would be: http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/10440/
But this one has fluorescence, and there seems to be a big feather in the picture.

My concerns are:
#1.
a. The idealscope image seems a little white compared to the other two.
b. What concerns me most is the block of black in the 9 o'clock direction. What does that indicate?
c. Should I rely on Gemologist's review more? or is the idealscope image more reliable?

#2.
a. This one is $400 more expensive than #1, and 0.12 Ct smaller.
b. Is color E & clarity VS2 a little bit unbalanced?
c. Is the table too small? or is it a good thing?

#3.
a. This one is almost $900 more expensive than #1.
b. Is there any reason anyone would prefer this one?

#4.
a. Anyone would prefer this one?

Which one would you like best? I would really appreciate if you could also give me your reasons. Thank you.

I personally think the best idealscope is #2. #4 definitely has the most leakage in the center, and I like the arrows the best out of the other three on the 2nd one.

In order my personal opinion/preference: Diamond 2, 1, 3 and lastly 4.

The small table on 2, is very small and lovely and I like the larger carat size on stone 1, which looks nice as well! The VVS on stone 3 is not needed IMHO.

I am a "rough rock" that I can't even figure out how to edit my own post....

Thanks for all the replies above. All of you are very kind and helpful.

Just wondering would the small table make the diamond looks even smaller? How would you prefer #1 and #2 money-wise? Is there any additional opinions?

Sorry for having so many questions. I am really a newbie in this forum, also in the diamond world. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Need to make the decision by tomorrow. Thoughts please!

Need to make the decision by tomorrow. Any thoughts please?

What bothers me regarding the G VS1 is that the black block on the 9 o'clock direction. It also can be seen from the enlarged picuture. Does that mean an imperfection in cutting in that part? Also, from the picture and video, there seems to be pretty obvious crystal not shown on the GIA certificate. Am I been too picky?

On the contrary, I don't find any obvious inclusion in the 1.06 E VS from the picture/video. There is also nothing shown on the GIA certificate other than a few small needle/feather by the edge or in the back.

The price of the 1.18 G VS1 is $8,850 and the price of the 1.06 E VS2 is $9,250. Please help me decide...
