So I am in the very early stages of purchasing an engagement ring for my GF of two years. I am a complete newb when it comes to grading of diamonds and clarity etc which I plan to research more in the coming days. My main question is she found a set she likes from a major retailer but I am wanting a much higher quality piece then what she found. My budget is around 9-12k depending of quality, clarity, size of stone etc. Does anybody have any links to a higher quality setting and stones that is in a similar formation as this one? She loves the hint of rose gold that this piece has.

I don't know of one exactly like that one, but there are many higher quality settings that include some of the same design elements, such as pave, halo, "twists" and two tone rose and white gold.

Simon G is a designer who comes to mind with two toned offerings. For example:

Verragio also does a lot of gorgeous two tone rose and white rings.

Going custom is another option.

First though, I would find out from your SO what elements exactly draw her to the ring she likes. This may help you to find a ring she will love in a better quality from a trusted vendor.

A google search brought up this Kirk Kara ring which has a lot of similar elements-

Others here would have to comment on quality etc, since I have no personal experience of this brand.

Good luck in your search!
