What a wonderful website this is. I came across pricescope while looking for my wife a 3 stone anniversary ring. Our anniversary is coming up at the end of August, so I need to get busy finding the perfect one for her.

My budget is $3000 to $3500. She has commented in the past that she really likes the round diamonds and she likes white gold. I found the following ring and wanted to know what you guys think. Also I am open to any suggestions and advice, if you think this ring is not what it should be. Thanks so much for your any input!

Hi 4,

What a great gift this will be!

I am unfamiliar with that company, so I really couldn''t comment on their products. Also, that particualar ring comes with cushion cut diamonds, not sure if they''d switch it to rounds.

I will suggest vendors I have either bought from, or know from here they are reputable. Take a look at their sites and see what you think. They are all great to work with.

Also, if you don''t see the size diamonds you''d like (or if you''re not sure) just give them a call, they''d be happy to help you.

Thanks Ellen!

I realized that the ring was cushion cut but haven''t been able to find anything in my price range with round diamonds. So I decided to post this ring to see if the diamonds were good quality.

What do you think about the specs.

I am just hesitant to purchase a ring with diamonds already set with the information that I have read on pricescope. I certainly want this ring to sparkle for my wife. Thanks for your help!

I can''t tell about the quality from what they have mentioned, and even if they were rounds, it''s not near enough. And the thing with cushions is (and all fancy cuts), you need a vendor (reliable) to eyeball therm and tell you if they are good or not.

I agree, I wouldn''t personally buy a put together ring from a company no one knows about.

I would suggest calling one of these vendors and telling them what you have in mind, what your budget is, and let them put something together for you. They all carry great diamonds, and a good selection of settings. This really would be the easiest, safest way to do it.

Ok.... I''ve got a call in to WF and GOG. They are getting back with me tomorrow. I also did a search for 5 stone anniversary rings on PS and several people recommended Signed Pieces. Here is a link to a ring that I think is beautiful. What do you guys think?

Good deal!

I think the ring is really pretty! And yes, I know several on here who have bought from them and been very happy.

Please let us know what you decide about the other.

And how many years?

Oh, I really like that SP ring (link above). Their stones are beautiful and their workmanship is excellent. You'll find lots of happy SP owners here on PS. I think a 3 stone or a 5 stone would be equally lovely.

A few things to keep in mind. Uncerted stones will always cost less than ones with certs. So, generally speaking, a ready-made ring (like the SP one) will be far less expensive than a custom job or a ring made with certed diamonds. The tricky part is knowing which vendors you can trust to provide well-cut stones. I would be comfortable with ANY of the PS vendors. Outside of PS... ummm, not so sure! An advantage to certed stones, though, is that they are usually upgradable (most PS vendors offer upgrade policies, which can be really nice when DSS [Diamond Shrinkage Syndrome] sets in!) For some of us, that's worth paying extra for.

Just throwing out ideas... but does your wife like bezel style? You can really maximize *size* with bezel settings. It's downright amazing!!!

And one more thing... do NOT be afraid of lower color or clarity stones, if you buy from a reputable vendor. As long as the diamonds are WELL CUT, you needn't be afraid of I, J (even K, IMHO!)/SI stones. Just be sure to ask the vendor if the stones are eye-clean. Remember, it's the CUT that makes a diamond beautiful. That's the one place you DON'T want to compromise!

Have fun and keep us posted!
