Hello everyone!

So really I'm doing this in the wrong order, but I figured I'd throw it out there.

I've been lurking in these forums on and off for a while as I've been in the market for a diamond for my wife (we're common law, but haven't done the ring or formal wedding thing yet).

I received my tax return a couple weeks ago and really ratcheted up my search for a diamond. I had been pretty set on going with Whiteflash, but I when I got back on the forums a week ago, I found out that Brian Gavin had left!

When I found his new blog, he had a list of some Brian Gavin Signature diamonds for sale. One of them caught my eye. I was able to see it in Houston, and committed to buy it!

Brian is also going to make the setting for me. I'll be sure to post pictures when they are ready.

What I need now is some support from the community! The diamond was within the budget I set for myself (a very good price actually I think), but DAMN! I've never laid this much cash out at one time for ANYTHING! I put less down on my house Image.

I know that Brian and Lesley will treat me right, but I'd like a frank analysis of the diamond's stats anyway from the community.
