Modified Brilliant Cushion vs. Antique Cushion

I am currently hesitating between 2 beautiful 2 ct diamonds. One is a modified brilliant cushion and the other is an antique cushion (old mine brilliant). The brilliant cushion does not have the crushed ice effect and emits small sparkling light. The antique cushion displays chunkier light due to larger facets.

I would like your advice, opinions and preferences on the 2 diamonds. What do you like about them? What do you dislike? My girlfriend and I are 29 and 31 years old, respectively.

Without seeing images, hard to say. But what does your girlfriend prefer? And what kind of setting does she want? One stone might 'go' better with whatever setting she wants (more antique/vintage vs. more modern).

I think what's most important is look your GF likes the best. This sounds like a good opportunity to see some different cushions together and see what she is more drawn to.

Without photos, it's hard to give an opinion and I agree wholeheartedly that it's what your FI thinks that matters most.
