My last post was deleted when the pic upload failed ;(

I have a budget of about $6,000 - $7,000 for my E ring without the setting and up to 3k for the setting. I know it might not seem like a lot for what I am looking for BUT I am hoping to find the right deal.

My goal is to have a center stone of 1.60 or larger (closest to 2 C as possible) in the VS2 - MUST BE eye clean range. I am looking for a "nice J" colored stone. GIA Certified pref but not required. I want the stone to be pretty and have a nice life to it. I went to the jewelry district in LA and found some nice stones that were in my range BUT I kind of want a stone with a punch that is unique like the cushion.

I found out about Leon Mege on this site. I love his work!! He rec I speak with Perry. So, I did. I found under "specials" on their site a 1.75 antique brilliant cushion cut VS2 - eye clean (I've been told" and a "nice J" color. The issue is I don't want to wast his time or hold up his inventory if the stone isn't going to achieve what I want. It's hard for me to tell based on stats if it will do what I want. Perry has been nice and even said he would give me a return period once I make the final payment on the ring - since I am in CA and can't see it first hand.

I am looking for a ring like this one:

I like the PUNCH that ring has and it looks HUGE! Some cushions I have seen are very pretty but take on a smaller look -even with the halo/setting.

The stats on the LM stone:
1.75
VS2 - eye clean
J - Nice J
7.30 x 6.8 x 4.68
52% table 68.8% depth
Crown angle greater than 40 degrees
Thin to thick faceted
Large Cutlet

I will attach additional pics in the next post. Do you think this stone will give me the look I am going for similar to the one in the link above?

Thanks for your opinions :)

I am just really nervous because this is a lot of $ and I have waited 7 yrs for my BF to give me the green light to shop for my E ring...plus I am one of those that will buy something bc I love it in the moment but then return it a few days later...I will say though that I've only done that once with a fine jewelry purchase and that is bc the stone had visible flaws and I went for size not clarity (it was an si2) that time.
