If you want to see some of the most insane scintillation open the GemAdvisor file put it in disco light (direct light conditions) and hit the green play button. Hehe... I'm having some fun in the lab before I leave for the night.

DEFINETELY going to carry. It is an 80 faceted modified round brilliant diamond. It displays the arrows but it's alot more than that. If you've read my tutorial on the red scopes you know that more blacks = more hot spots (ie. light being directed at the high angles) and this diamond has an appearance that is absolutely striking. Just got my first batch in yesterday and I am captivated. I've seen many modified rounds with more than 57-58 facets but never have I seen one cut like these. It loses nothing in way of spread and it's brilliance, fire and scintillation have a different appearance than that of H&A rounds. I haven't even ran them on all our equipment as of yet but I can tell you they are generally of very high scoring B'scope stones. Once I complete some more tests and photographs we'll feature a full tutorial and perhaps showcase it on Leonid's "under the loupe" section. |

A quick internet search, and it seems that this cut belongs to K.R. Gems and Diamonds, International and their soon to be website for the stone is:

Me too, VH. I'm not a fan of the cut glass look in rounds, and from the 2 pics I've seen so far, that's what this looks like to me. However, seeing it "in action"may change my mind there.
and yes -- they paid their naming company way too much for that effort..... edited to add: I just noticed your new tag line addition VH. Congrats -- keep on keeping us amused

Interestingly enough, GoodOldGold isn't on their retailers list at all... but someone called "Wooden Skate" is! |
