Again, thanks all for the kind words.
Diamonddude - I didn't know that you were looking at this diamond as well. I actually had it on hold since 7/13. I'm sure the new diamonds that you're looking at now will turn out to be fantastic. Good luck with your search! Froof - Yes, I'm really excited. I actually picked up a loupe today at a local Stamps/Coin hobby store and have been inspecting the stone in detail. I'm not sure if it's because I'm new to this, but my eye gets blurry after awhile (and yes, I'm keeping the other eye open ). The only bad thing, is that I don't get to play with it after tonight, because the proposal is tomorrow. Good luck with your setting, I'm sure it'll turn out amazing. Also, good luck with your proposal.

Fortunately, mine came with a loupe. After I got back to my office from UPS, I cleared off my desk and became Master Gemologist for a bit. It's almost scary how long you can stare at something so small. My eyes got blurry after a while, too...especially when I was trying to read the inscription on the girdle. I thought I'd never be able to make out the numbers!
What do you mean you won't get to play with it anymore? If all goes well, and I'm sure it will, you can play with that thing for the rest of your life! Anyhow, you did buy it for your significant other, didn't you? ![]() Best wishes, and please do come back and tell us all about your proposal! Perhaps not everything, just the important stuff!

Thanks for the kind words motcs. Your have a stone there with some of the most outstanding optics that we get to analylze in our lab. I wish I could buy 50 stones just like it. Keep us posted on the proposal and once again, our heartfelt thanks for allowing us to serve you during this important chapter of your life.
