and my insurance has paid out and I am in the design process. I would love some advice on the basket design and maybe some pictures for some inspiration.

Your inspiration ring is gorgeous! I looked a long time trying to find a halo that I liked for my pear but finally got scared
and decided not to do it.  (afraid I might not like it) But anyway, I like all the pictures you did for the gallery but I dontthink that a wedding band will sit nicely with them. I think you are going to have to pick your priority, either a lovely gallery, or a wedding band that fits up next to your ering. Here are a few more links to haloed pears where you can see the gallery. Unfortuately I dont think a wedding band will set up next to any of them. Hi a gallery could be beautiful.
First off I'd definitely create a cathedral shank. It would showcase your gallery even more. You would be able to see it going all the way around the basket. Also, it would make the shank a bit less bulky. For the gallery keep in mind it has to be something that looks good when repeated. Your second photo looks good but I can't visualize it being repeated around the basket without having large gaps in between. I've personally done a tulip design on a different halo and it's come out beautiful. You could also do repeating pear shapes or a type of symmetric design that can be repeated easily. Hearts can also work. In the art-deco days they used to do a zig zag pattern. Very angular but that's an authentic vintage look. Good luck. |
