Does it less noticeable when it is normal sized?

ETA: Depends on how often I wear the ring. I have a RHR that the milgrain is messed up and it bugs me, but I am not going to fix it because I don't wear it that often.
For an e-ring or everyday RHR, it would get on my nerves and I would have to do something about it.

Just edited. At arms length I do not notice, a bit closer and I can.

ditto re how does it look IRL...and how much would it cost to get it fixed?

Bella, I'm not sure on the cost to fix it.

IRL, farther away I can notice something funky (out of shape?) on one edge and the milgrain looks way chunkier and less smooth than the milgrain around the edges of the halo. I should have put this all in my first post, oops! Thanks for helping!

ETA: and I notice the metal looks a bit darker around the center stone, you can kind of tell in the last photo

Ok, so it looks like I should change it...


is this something I should bring up with the vendor or just have fixed on my own?


Ideally, the milgrain would look the same as on the outer edge.

This is what I asked it to look like, set flush with one row of milgrain between the center and halo.

I can see what you''re talking about - it''s not particularly noticeable but it''s there. I would bring it up with the vendor first.

Yes, I think the vendor should fix it for you. That would bother me quite a bit.

Oh I wasn''t trying to call you picky! I''m picky too - you paid for it, and it should be the quality you expected. It''s that simple :)

I think you should speak with the vendor about it.  It''s not the same as what you requested from the photo.

Thank you everyone. I don''t mind that it''s not exactly the same as the photo, I am more concerned at the contrast between the center stone and edge milgrain. They are just so different, it ends up looking kind of funny and like two different quality of ring.

I recognize that as a BK setting right? Theu should fix it, it does not look like the inspriation photo if you sent that as a reference. Why is it so thick? I notice that it is a setting that normally has an airline and it looks to me that they just filled the airline

Dreamer, I don''t think they filled in the airline because they made a wax and I approved it The vendor said it would be filed down and finished so I didn''t think anything of it. Here''s the CAD. Other than the milgrain quality on the center, this ring is gorgeous! The work that Bev K did is amazing, I am just frustrated that the vendor set the stone and the difference is so obvious.
