Hello PS'ers
I have been reading all I can from this site and have found it to be invaluable in narrowing down a ring and diamond (1 carat RB). Im getting close and would appreciate some help in picking from the short list I have.
I would like to propose with a white gold channel set ring with 6 prongs. Whilst aware that 4 prongs shows more diamond, isnt the consensus that the diamond comes across as square an may be more prone to getting loose?
The three shortlisted diamonds are all 1 carat and have the proportions which most PS'ers here would term as ideal. They also get HCA scores of less than 2.0.
I havent seen them in person yet, but will do soon. So this would be just on the papers so far. I don't have pics or scopes.

Diamond 1:
Carat - 1.03
Color - J
Clarity - VS2
Flu - Faint
Cut, Pol, Sym - Ex
HCA - 1.4

What I like about this is that its VS2, so it would be eye clean? Also the faint fluoresence may help enhance the colour. The report plotting also shows some inclusions on the table, but it doesnt seem that much. My view is that this is a good one.

Clarity - S1
Flu: None
Cut, Pol, Sym - Ex
HCA - 1.0

This diamond has the best HCA score, however the report plotting shows that the diamond has inclusions everywhere and looks pretty busy. I dont get a good vibe from this diamond based on the report. Is the HCA score a redeeming feature? And lastly......

Color - H
Clarity - S1
Flu - Strong Blue
Cut, Pol, Sym - Ex
HCA - 1.4

This diamond has the highest color grade (H), and also strong fluorescence which Im not against at all. I like the potential effects.
There are some inclusions, although not as many as the previous one. The plotting shows twinning wisps on the table.
In the end, I like the J, as it has the potential to be eye/mind clean with the least amount of inclusions BUT I like the H due to its higher color grade and could face up even whiter (plus glow in UV).
What would you guys pick based on the info above? The J and H are around the same price, the I is slightly more.
