My mother wore a wg band with a platinum e-ring for many years, and there was no damage. But that said, I think the fact that the gold will lose the rhodium and the colors will not match will bother you over time. There are many sources of wedding bands besides this one jeweler. I really encourage you to get platinum for your wedding band.

Thank you DiamondSeeker2006. I did originally want a platinum band but my fiance really wants his own wedding band to come from that special jeweller and already fell in love with one of their settings that is of course unique and cannot be found anywhere else! I tried to show him some other designs but he liked none...
So I feel stuck between having one of their plain platinum bands that don't look very good my ering or this wg eternity band that looks great... As for the rhodium wearing off and since it's an eternity ring it should'nt bother me too as it won't show unless I look at the side of my ring. And it doesn't happen to often PS: I know some will say that I shouldn't let my fiance's choice prevent me from having a platinum band but I happen to really love that white gold piece of bling
