I'm in desperate need of help from the Pricescope community to help find a cushion cut diamond for an engagement ring.

I have a contender for the setting it's a Platinum Petite Pave Cathedral from James Allen and now need to find the diamond.

I'm more than happy to use other online retailers other than James Allen by the way but they need to reputable. I'd like to buy the ring and diamond together and it will be shipped to Australia.

My budget is 4.5K-5k AUD (3.5K-3.9K USD) for the diamond.

After reading countless threads already I've come up with the following requirements-

Carat - Biggest possible given price restraint (Size 7 finger)
Colour- H or better
Clarity- Don't mind but must be eye clean
Cut - Needs to sparkle like crazy!
Shape- Square

As an indicator of the the type of cut that pleases my eye, see link below. I don't like crushed ice look.

I'd like to get some recommendations on diamonds from everyone. Once I have a short list will get the ASET images and get some feedback.

Thanks in advance and any questions fire away!

I'm confused.
You say you do not want a crushed ice look. But the picture you post of a stone you like the faceting of IS a crushed ice look cushion.

Very sorry my bad! Gypsy you're just the person I wanted to join the thread. I've been reading you're previous post regarding cushions and they have been very helpful/informative. I guess I do like the crushed ice look so any recommendations greatly appreciated.

The Gemologist reports and the ASET images arrived from JA on the diamonds Gypsy recommended. They are all eye clean.

(1 ct G-VS2) - This true G color diamond faces up the whitest, brightest, and largest of the three sent for review. Its overall brilliance, fire, and sparkle are excellent, offering great balance and life from the center. The Gemologist also mentioned this diamond possesses the best outline, offering a wonderful cushion shape.

(1 ct H-VVS1) - This true H color diamond also faces up white. The overall brilliance and light return are also phenomenal with fantastic sparkle and white light from the center. The faceting is attractive, offering no crushed ice.

(1 ct H-SI1) - This eye clean H color diamond faces up white and is very brilliant, but is slightly less bright than the others, with the trained eye of the Gemologist picking up slightly more body warmth when comparing side by side. The fire, sparkle, and faceting are attractive, but the diamond faces up slightly smaller than the others.

Looking for feedback! Thanks in advance!

Do we have a winner?

I urgently need some more opinions of which diamond to pick. The diamonds are only on hold for a limited time. Any comments/advice much appreciated!!

I don't know much about cushions, but just looking at the ASET I like #2 best as well. It has the most symmetry in cut, and the red around the edges will help bring out the full diameter compared to 1.

Number 2.

Number 1 has a lot of red in the aset but it has a not so nice ring of leakage under the table.
Number 3 aset has a lot of blue in it.
