Hi!

I have been doing a good deal of research as I am looking to make a first-time purchase of diamond stud earrings and was hoping to draw on the expertise of the members of this forum.

Would love your help evaluating these diamonds - my main objective is to have as sparkly of diamonds as possible, but decided to forgo the "true hearts" super ideal cut at JA to save on price given these diamonds will eventually be used for stud earrings.

A few questions - given the stats and pricing here, which would you think are good picks? All diamonds scored below a 2 on the HCA Tool and I will be viewing requested idealscope and other imaging soon!

Appreciate it!

The first one is out. That is not a twinning wisp and will NOT be clean.

The second one, ask JA to have their gemologist examine the stone for any type of transparency issue with the grade setting cloud.

The third one is a great stone. No issues for earrings assuming it is eyeclean (ask).

You can EASILY go down to I color in studs, BTW. And you can pair an H with an I too. So keep that in mind.

I also like #2, but the clarity would bother me in the other two. Stick to the same color for both stones. I would also be fine with H or I color for studs. I'd also go no lower than SI1 clarity.

Thank you! Apart from the inclusions, any thoughts on the cut proportions of the diamonds? The last stone is shallower than the first two. I notice some white reflection in the background for the first stone, not sure if that is due to light leaking or just a general reflection....
