Hi oloubo There really aren't any set numbers for heart shapes, the way to proceed is to work with a vendor who has access to hearts and can find you a nice one, vendors such as BN don't have the diamonds in house so it is a gamble as to what you will get without images, because of this I would suggest buying from a vendor who has the stone in house or can call it in and provide images such as ASET and detailed photographs. www.exceldiamonds.com have recently had a nice heart available so they might be able to find you one. Also try Whiteflash and - www.niceice.com www.goodoldgold.com www.jamesallen.com Polish and symmetry is often graded good, I wouldn't necessarily hold out for VG or better if everything else about the stone is right. But I can't emphasize enough how important it is to work with a vendor who has access to the diamonds whom can be your eyes and supply images to help you. Whiteflash should be able to offer in between sizes on a stock setting, check with them to be sure. Also you can use this chart as an initial screening tool but the numbers given aren't meant to be used as an absolute rule so if you find a heart you like which doesn't match up to the suggested proportions don't worry about it, your own eyes and images trump numbers guides. |
