Have you ever taken a risk on eBay?

Branded items are safer, in many ways. But you need them to state that they are authentic (and you should verify it if you can) in the listing (again, buyer protection).

Gypsy,

How do you authenticate signed pieces? Just via the seller's word? There is a Tiffany ring I'm longing for on ebay, but it is listed as being 18K yellow gold and I've only ever seen that ring set in Platinum. Will Tiffany still provide authenticity for an item?

Thanks in advance. I hope this is on topic enough not to be a 'thread jack'.

just wanted to share another good ebay story-I just bought a ring just to get the stones of my choice at a reasonable price-high color and clarity, carre cuts - seller had perfect feedback and just had it looked at by an independent jeweler-without telling them anything-they gave me the same specs. would've cost me much more had I bought the stones retail. :appl: seller did have over 2,000 feedback score of 100% btw. (oh and it was a high carat weight than she estimated)

would any of you share your ebay sellers? I'd love to score some earrings. Thanks.
