I''m a novice so please bear with me.

How does one go about in purchasing an SI2 clarity diamond? And in particular, from Union Diamond, since I have read a mix of good and bad reviews about how they claim their stone is eyeclean when it was not (of course, I think beauty is in the eye of the beholder ). What should I ask for other than an image of the actual diamond from 10-12 inches away, 10x magnification, 40x magnification, what else?

And with an SI2 clarity, of course there will be inclusions - what locations and how deep for inclusions do you think is "acceptable" to the naked eye for an SI2 diamond?

Thank you

The only way to tell if a diamond is eyeclean is to have someone look at it.
Pictures don''t always help.

See if you can arrange for them to view the diamond and discuss it with you.
Maybe get multiple opinions of people in their office.
